WG Charters

WG Charters is a family-owned and operated company in the Cayman Islands. It is owned by members of the Watler and Galeano families. Hence, “WG” in the name of the company.
Based in Grand Cayman, WG Charters operates #Unstoppable out of The Barcadere Marina (next to the George Town Yacht Club). #Unstoppable is a 38 ft. Topaz vessel with two inboard 375-horsepower Caterpillar 3208 engines.

Captain

Captain Ricardo Galeano-Ebanks has been captain since 1988. He is certified to command boats/vessels up to 3,000 tons. Throughout his career, he has worked for some of the most popular charter tour companies on island.

He loves being out on the sea fishing, socializing, and having fun with friends and family. His favorite fish to catch is Yellowfin tuna, which is a species of tuna found in pelagic waters of tropical and subtropical oceans worldwide. Yellowfin is often marketed as ahi.

He loves eating various types of snappers. Other than boating, Captain Ricardo enjoys playing dominoes and spending time with family and friends.

Deckhand

Samuel “Sammo” Bodden is from West Bay, Grand Cayman, and has been fishing since he was a little boy. At the age of two, it was clear he had a passion for fishing, and often joined his father, who is also a fisherman on trips.

Sammo has been working in the tourism industry since 2014.  He loves being out on the water, socializing, and having fun with family and friends.

His favorite fish to catch is anything big and hard fighting, from big ocean-dwelling fish such as yellowfin tuna and wahoo to big bottom fish like black grouper and cubera snapper, which all can be found in tropical and subtropical oceans worldwide.

Other than fishing, Sammo enjoys prepping gear for upcoming charter trips with Captain Ricardo, working out, studying animals, and visiting the race track with family and friends.

Deckhand

Suzette Watler-Galeano is married to Captain Ricardo Galeano-Ebanks. Her favorite thing to do while boating is fishing. Her favorite fish to catch is Wahoo, but she also loves pulling up Mutton Snappers.

Other than boating, Suzette enjoys playing dominoes and spending time with family and friends.

After graduating from university in 2006, Suzette obtained a BA Degree in Education thus she became an elementary school teacher for Nine Years. She left teaching in 2015 to work for the Portfolio of Legal Affairs. In 2018, she changed careers and began working for the Cayman Islands Civil Service Association Co-operative Credit Union, where she remains currently.

Suzette has a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management/Personal Administration from Walden University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Anderson University.

Marketing

Kevin Watler is Suzette’s brother. His favorite thing to do while boating is fishing. He loves catching various types of snappers and Jacks. He also enjoys deep sea fishing. One day he wants to travel to the Outer Banks or Massachusetts and reel in a Bluefin tuna.

Besides boating, Kevin enjoys traveling, watching shows, and spending time with family and friends.

After graduating from university in 2008, Kevin worked as a journalist. He served as website producer and weather anchor for Cayman 27. He relocated to Florida in 2015 to grow his communication skills. For two years, he served as the spokesperson for Polk County Fire Rescue until 2017. A new horizon opened up for him, so he embraced it and became the spokesperson for the Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County. He then left that position to become the media relations manager for the University of South Florida.

Kevin has a bachelor’s in Communication and minored in Education. He is a FEMA-certified Advanced Public Information Officer.
